Revolutionizing U.S. healthcare by positioning patients at the center of their health care journey, taking the pain out of their healthcare experience
To leverage unique, secure technologies to create a patient owned Personal Health Record (PHR) that puts every person in control of their health data by creating a consolidated, virtual, and mobile healthcare record they can share with their care team to make better informed care decisions thereby improving outcomes, reducing costs, and improving the patient and physician experience.
The Problem
Lack of Communication
- Physician to Physician
- Physician to Patient
- Between, and even WITHIN Organizations
- EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems don’t talk to each other
This graph shows that healthcare costs continues to consume more of what we create as a percentage over time
Healthcare costs continue to eat a bigger portion of income
- Inefficiencies. Duplicated tests and services due to lack of communication
- Poor patient engagement & compliance. Causes increased ER visits and hospital stays, poor outcomes
- Packed ER (Emergency Rooms) with long waits. Unavailability of doctors on a timely basis gives patients little choice but to go to the ER
- Patients with acute needs. These patients need to be seen in the ER quickly
- Patients with less acute needs. These patients need relief on a timely basis without taking up the resources that ER’s were designed for
- Clinics can be just as congested. Clinics can have long wait times just like ERs
70% of Americans Feel Our Healthcare System is Difficult to Navigate1
Summary
While it’s true that America’s healthcare system is the best in the world, that is limited to the quality of diagnostics and treatment options including advanced equipment and drug therapy. However, it’s not efficient in its delivery, which is the problem we are addressing.
Our Resolution
MyDOC Portable Patient Records
- Upload Patient Docs. Mobile app and portal provide for easy uploading of medical documents
- View Patient Docs. View, download, and print patient documents
- HIPAA Compliant. Medical records are transferred and stored securely according to HIPAA regulations
- Share documents with providers. After signing an in-app HIPAA Consent From, the patient can share a link to their records with a physician or care-giver
- Medication tracking/reconciliation. Current medication name, dose, and frequency, with history of all medicines taken
- Demographics. Demographics information (patient intake)
- Emergency Contacts. Emergency Contact information
- Caregiver Access. Access to caregiver as accountability partner (usually friend or family)
- With in-app signing of Consent form
- Read-only or read/write access level
- Vital Signs. In-home monitoring with vital signs recorded in MyDOC, especially for chronically ill patients
MyDOC Resources
- Telemedicine.
- Avoid the ER. Instead of going to the ER, engage a telemedicine paramedic with your issue. They will help you to resolve the issue, get a physician on the line, or, if needed, send you to the ER
- Quick access to medical care. Need to get right in to a specialist? Use our telemedicine paramedic / physician for referral to a specialist or for testing / treatment
- Caregiver. A caregiver for chronically ill patients can help improve compliance with physician orders and medication and be the eyes and ears for the physician, keeping the patient out of the hospital. This is usually a family member or friend
